As we saw during the Final Event, the future is already taking shape through a new wave of European projects that extend and complement GAMMS outcomes.
Several of them were represented in Barcelona, showing how research on autonomous navigation, high-precision localisation and smart mobility continues to grow.
JULIA integrates cloud-based visual localisation with EGNSS services, aiming for centimetre-level accuracy in complex city environments.
SYNERGIES focuses on creating a safety-assured, shared scenario database to support the validation of CCAM technologies.
Cultural-Road explore the regulatory, ethical and cultural frameworks needed for future mobility systems.
In parallel, many GAMMS partners are now active in other EU-funded projects:
- EGeNiouSS explores the fusion of visual and GNSS signals to improve positioning in dense urban areas. GeoNumerics contributes to the development of robust, hybrid localisation algorithms.
- PoDIUM (with IDIADA, Abertis Autopistas, ENIDE) focuses on real-life CCAM testing using multi-connectivity and smart infrastructure.
- MODI (with IN-MOVE, Eurecat, Indra, FGC) addresses cross-border freight automation using Level 4 vehicles.
- ESERCOM-D (with Virtual Vehicle, ENIDE) leverages GAMMS insights to develop EGNSS-based road monitoring and maintenance tools.
Together, these initiatives reflect a strong continuity, moving from research to real-world applications and building a safer, smarter and more sustainable mobility ecosystem.
