We are pleased to announce that <\/span>Ricardo Prata<\/a> <\/b>from <\/span>DEIMOS<\/a> <\/b>presented a paper titled “<\/span>High-Accuracy and Resilient GNSS Receiver for an Autonomous Vehicle<\/b>” at the <\/span>ION GNSS+ 2024 conference<\/b><\/a>, which took place in Baltimore, Maryland, from September 16 to 20, 2024. This presentation highlights the significant advances achieved within the GAMMS<\/span> <\/b>project.<\/span><\/p>

The paper focuses on the G3STAR GNSS receiver<\/b>, a key component of the GAMMS project, which aims to develop a mapping robot for the production of high-definition (HD) navigation maps for autonomous vehicles. The G3STAR receiver, based on Galileo, utilizes the functionalities of the open service, including the High Accuracy Service (HAS) and the Open Service Navigation Message Authentication (OSNMA). These services improve the accuracy and robustness of the receiver against spoofing attacks.<\/span><\/p>

The presentation described these Galileo features, focusing on their implementation in the receiver. Preliminary results were also shown and discussed. The G3STAR receiver can obtain and decode HAS messages from the Galileo E6-B signals using a GNSS constellation simulation tool. <\/span><\/p>

The receiver uses HAS data to increase the accuracy of the navigation solution and OSNMA to authenticate the Galileo signals, ensuring the integrity of the GNSS service. Preliminary tests show that both HAS and OSNMA data can be processed by the receiver. <\/span><\/p>
